Here’s a simply charming cocktail dress. Original early 1960s, its in a combination of a warm tone pink rayon and matching pink lace. The bodice sees a lining layered with the lace over top, fitted with waist darts front and back and bust darts in front, the lace overbodice dropping down past the waist in front only for a flattering detail, where its scalloped edge is backed with the main fabric, along with a self bow; in back, a half belt fastens at the natural waist seam for a perfect fit over the classic straight skirt. A delightful original cocktail dress in a very wearable size, its ready to sip cocktails in chic Mad Men style all year long, day or night.

Bodice is fully lined, skirt has upper half lined.

Material: Rayon and lace

Closure: Metal zipper in centre back seam, half belt to back.

VINTAGE CONDITION

Very good vintage condition. No rips, tears or discolour from wear.

A small very faint grey dot on lace on back right shoulder blade, and a pair of similarly faint very small marks on back left skirt at fingertip level, see the split pic for each of these. A tiny nick in front skirt near right side seam has had a tiny fused patch on the reverse to stabilise, and there is a similar one but even smaller at same level on back right skirt- these are both minute, see final pic provided. Lastly a very light fade at shoulders, but see pic provided, I could not capture it with the camera since against the delicate pink it is not remarkable. Still rated as suitable for virtually any event, a lovely classic vintage dress.
