Ladies, this ensemble says Luxury. An original early 1960s dress and bolero cocktail set, its in a delicious cafe au lait base layered with elegant matching lace, impeccably finished with scalloped applique at the edges and minky trim on the jacket.

The dress is fitted with waist contour darts front and back and bust darts in front, with a straight skirt and attractively squared neckline, both with lace scallops placed along their edges; the matching button front jacket is short, and gently shaped with waist darts front and back and bust darts in front, with long lace sleeves left alluringly unlined, and that opulent fur trim making collar and cuffs. Fabulous. A divine original ensemble, its ready to indulge in the finer things in vintage life for one very sophisticated kitty.
Closure: Early nylon zipper in centre back on dress, jacket has 4 self covered buttons down centre front (and a plastic popper under neckline, a recent addition).

Marca: no makers labels, it looks like a custom made ensemble. Jacket has tiny ’40’ label that would be a dressmaker’s addition. The dress (and likely the jacket too, but this cant be confirmed due to every seam concealed) is actually double lined, with a lining, then another lining layer and the lace overlay. Very carefully made.

CONDICIÓN VINTAGE
This dress and jacket set is in good to very good vintage condition. NO popped seams, NO remarkable damage or repairs, fur pieces look all intact and do not shed, this ensemble is ready to wear. Very small signs of life; a bit of wear to fur at cuffs where edges meet; the finest, faintest hint of a tan line at right armholes on dress and jacket, so faint it was not noticed during preparation or photographing, only when being examined very close up in hand- truly minimal. One very small (1/4″) tan dot on front of jacket between 2nd and 3rd button, lost in pattern. Lace is very good, with only one tiny break at base of motif on front skirt, and a touch of wear at left sleeve head, along with a tiny professionally done few stitches further back- see the double pic provided for each of these flaws, they are tiny. Overall a beautiful ensemble still suitable for any important or formal affair, wonderful.
